About XRP Desk
Who runs XRP Desk?
XRP Desk is run by Brian Cha (@chachaX72). It is an independent public desk for XRP and the XRP Ledger, not Ripple, not an exchange, and not a fund.
This page is the methodology: where each figure comes from, how often it refreshes, and what it does not mean. Live numbers stay on the section pages and are filled from the last cached reading. If a cache is empty, the page says so instead of guessing.
Where do the figures come from?
| Figure | Source | Refresh | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spot ETF vault | XRP Tracker Google Sheet | About every 5 minutes | Latest XRP print for Bitwise, Franklin, Canary, Grayscale, 21Shares, and REX-Osprey. Other sheet columns are labeled separately. |
| ETF flows | Same sheet, matched day-to-day deltas | With the sheet cache | Change in reported holdings. Not ETF trading volume. |
| ETF trading volume | Yahoo regularMarket via yfinance | About every 60 seconds | Dollar liquidity of listed products (price × volume). A proxy for trading, not coins in a vault. |
| Exchanges | XRPL account_info on labeled wallets | About every 8 minutes when a scan is fresh | Sum of labeled venue wallets. A floor: unlabeled wallets are missing. Not the supply-stack proxy row. |
| Ripple escrow | XRPL escrow snapshot | When a new snapshot file is published | Live locked escrow contracts, plus release and re-lock rows in that snapshot. Not the supply-stack proxy row. |
| 100B supply stack | Late-Sep 2026 proxy partition | Edited with the desk, not a live scan | Six exclusive buckets that sum to 100 billion. Each row is marked proxy partition. |
| 13F estimated XRP | Institutional Holdings Master Sheet, Q2 2026 | Snapshot, not scraped each request | A disclosed subset of the spot ETF vault. Not a seventh supply bucket. |
| RLUSD | XRPL issuer obligations and the Ethereum RLUSD contract | About every 2 minutes | On-chain supply. Not a market-cap estimate. |
| Amendment votes | XRPScan amendments | About every 10 minutes | UNL votes. Activation needs more than 80% of the UNL for two weeks. |
| Top accounts | XRPScan balances | About every 10 minutes | The rich-list feed the desk shows as the top 10,000 accounts. |
| XRP price | CoinGecko or the desk’s market cache | About every 5 minutes | A reference price for AUM when the sheet has no dollar cell. |
How is the 100 billion supply split?
Six exclusive proxy buckets — Ripple escrow, Ripple operational (non-escrow), labeled exchanges, spot ETF vaults, founders, and other/unlabeled — each XRP in one row, summing to 100 billion. Burn is tracked separately and is not one of the six rows. There is no Ripple-total row. “Ripple combined” is only the escrow row plus the operational row, written as a note.
A proxy partition is a labeled snapshot used so the rows add up. It is not the live escrow balance, not the live labeled-wallet scan, and not the latest spot-vault print. Those live readings are on the overview and on XRP Desk Insights, with their own source and as-of lines.
What are the known limits?
- Sheet dates are calendar days typed into the sheet. A row dated after today in Pacific time is dropped and is never shown as “as of”.
- Issuers do not all print on the same day. The vault total is each spot fund’s own latest print.
- Labeled exchange wallets are a floor. The scan can lag, and a name in the scan is not proof the venue is the only holder of that ticker.
- The next escrow unlock marker follows the last observed release on a monthly cadence. It is not a newly measured unlock amount.
- Yahoo ETF dollar volume is a liquidity proxy. It is not coins moving into or out of a vault.
- When a cache is empty, the page does not fill in a number.
Is this financial advice?
No. XRP Desk is not financial, investment, or trading advice. Figures can be stale, partial, or revised by their source. Check the source and as-of line on the figure you use.
